Discover the semi-desert region in Georgia with Soso Shetidze, a true Tush horseman.

You will visit his herd of 120 horses in the vast open plains of this incredible landscape.

Enjoy good gallops, wild creatures such as turtles and porcupines

in vast open spaces of this African style region in Georgias wine region Kacheti.

Spring is the season for shepherding, thousands of sheep, lambs and cows are in Vashlovani as well.

If you like abundance of space, you will love Vashlovani (the name literally translates as “Apple Orchard”).

The valley is home to Soso’s horses during autumn/winter/spring.

The Vashlovani National Park is a strongly protected region with impressive cliff formations which was founded in 1935. It is situated within south-east Georgia of the Kakheti region, close to the border withAzerbaijan and is characterised by a very dry climate.

A special feature of the region are the wild pistachio forests, which resemble apple trees during the blossom period, hence the name “Apple Orchard”. Vashlovani offers the opportunity to ride in the wild, gallop and experience the steppe on horseback.

Vashlovani is a stunning nature reserve boasting breathtaking canyons, shallow forests, the amazing Alazani flood plains, and gorgeous wildlife including foxes, jungle cats, bears, and more.

Our Host Soso will take you to the most beautiful spots in the National Park.
